Your blog post is to state your directorial concept on which I will give feedback to ensure that you are on the right track. Remember that it should be about a paragraph and highlight what you think are the key elements of the performance and what will form the base of your decisions. It can involve a colour scheme if that links in with the choices you are looking to make/highlight with your area.
Also list any questions you have or parts of the assessment you do not understand.
I look forward to reading your thoughts!
Welcome back all after a bit of a break.
Today's massive question is "what is the most important element of performance?"
We discussed the different aspects of performance today and now it your turn to pick one and just
Hello. I am having trouble posting the videos for you to reflect on.
Can you use the discussion from Thursday as the base of doing your final reflection in your folio and have them ready to hand up on Monday?
We will watch them next week some time
Have a great SundaySunday
Below is a file sent by the director of Bewitching Macbeth with an outline about the show. Some time before the show on Thursday, have a read through the notes and look at what they were looking to achieve.
Note that at the start, they start with a question that they explore....Just like you have done with your Group Presentation.
Today you were working on your group presentation. When working in groups, time can move very quickly and before you know it, the deadline rears its ugly head.
Your response today needs to look at how your group is working and what needs to be changed to ensure the task is completed effectively.
1. What is the biggest strength of your group? How can this be used to ensure the piece is the best it can be?
2. What is an obstacle or challenge for your group? What can be done to get around the obstacle?
Don't forget to start your folios and bring in tomorrow for me to have a look at.
Today we started to go through the script. Looking at the characters, which one did you most like and least like and why?
Sorry about yesterday, the post was in the draft folder, so sorry if you tried to do it.
Sorry about the horrendously subjective title and it is definitely up for debate and could even be an essential question.
For tonight's blog you are to find the key players in the following plays, find a little bit about them and what effort you would apply to playing them. On Wednesday we will use this information to play Shakes - Jump.
And the plays are.....
Romeo and Juliet (Romeo, Juliet, lady Capulet, Tybalt, Mecurtio
Mid Summer Nights Dream (The lovers, the mechanicals, the fairy king, queen and puck)
Richard iii (Richard and Lady Ann)
Comedy of Errors (the brothers, their attendants and their ladies)
Through our exploration of performance we have looked at elements of voice and on Thursday were introduced to movement.
What is the benefit of using a system like Laban's in performance?
What did you find helpful or not through the work on Thursday?
What effort/s are you going to use for your sonnet and why?

Today we looked at getting comfortable with the group and people in the team and focus.
1. Which activities that were done today helped or will help you with your focus as a performer and why?
2. Why it is important in performance to be comfortable having people in, and being in others personal space? Give a scenario where this would be especially important?
3. State which activity you were most comfortable with and which you were least.. and why?
4. Find a clip where you can see Shakespeare performed well. post the link in a separate comment. Try to get a clip that is only a couple of minutes long.
